Our primary focus is to aged and disability care.
Help has continuously operated as service providers to these sectors for 40 years. Our corporate office staff have a combined total
of 85 years experience in placing staff in these areas of care.
Our ongoing commitment to offereing personalised service to our clients gives us a unique ability to respond promptly and
effectively to their staff needs. Our office is contactable 24 hours a day 365 days a year, thus enabling clients to build a good
rapport with our professional, friendly allocation coordinators.
We believe it is important for our clients to know us not just in name, but personally. We regularly do ‘pop in’ visits to Directors
of Nursing, Nursing Managers, as well as worksite visits to our Agency staff – again maximizing the opportunity to build
personalised rapport with clients and staff.

All applicants to Help Nursing Service must meet the following criteria in order to be successful at application:
• specified minimum experience in the aged and/or disability care sector
• Provision of current professional references
• Demonstrate legal eligibility to work in New South Wales
• Current registration with the NSW Nurses and Midwives Board (RN’s and EN’s)
Prior to commencing work all applicants must pass the following checks:
• Department of immigration legal work rights
• Criminal Record
• Working with children
• Professional references
• Registration ( RN’s and EN’s)
• Manual handling competence
• Assessment for suitability as an Agency nurse
To ensure continuing employment with HNS nurses must:
• Comply with Department of Immigration work rights reviews
• Maintain registration with NSW NMB (RN’s and EN’s)
• Comply with HNS policies and practices standards
• Comply with HNS uniform requirements at all times
• Participate in HNS performance appraisal programme (minimum 10 appraisals/year)
• Comply with annual review of competencies as required (e.g. manual handling)
We encourage all clients to participate in our performance appraisal programme in order to maintain a successful working
relationship and to enable us to continually improve our standards and service. Client participation ensures the most suitable staff
are provided at each facility.
All written Incident and Complaint Reports are viewed seriously and will be formally followed up by our nurse educator. Clients
receive a written follow up on all incidents and complaints.
We are committed to the continuing support of our nursing staff alongside our clients. We are proud that we have nurses on staff who
have been with HNS for more the 15 years.
